So me and Davina set off to her mum's place up in Suffolk which is a beach side town. We had many plans whilst we were up their to hire boats and see the country side... But as per usual the plans changed!!
Our holiday ended up consisting of drinking Alcohol, and way to much of it.. In fact I believe I entered into a whole new world of pain with hangovers. This was caused due to 6 bottles of Fizzy Plonk being drank between the 2 of us!
We also did some shopping and found some great factory outlets!
We are now packing to Glastonbury festival, I am soooooo excited.. I have brought my hot pink Gumboots and am ready to go!! For those who dont know what Glastonbury festival is, google it!!! If I am not to hung over I will update the Blog on Tuesday (When I get back) before I fly out.. if not, I am then home!!
Its gonna be so much fun!!

The West End - London
So on the 20th June it was Davina and Carls 12 month pre wedding Anniversary!! Which means that they will be married on the 20th June 2009.
We decided to celebrate this occasion by going to the West end of London that is well known for Broadway shows. We saw Spamalot which was fantastic, and very very funny. It was at the Palace Theatre, which was an amazing building... Great night out!

Malta
I flew into Malta to meet Emma (Stu's sister) and Mark (her Boyfriend).
So we arrive at the house late at night, and I am shown my room. The room is huge, it has a double bed and its my very own room!! This sounds quite normal, but when you have been travelling around in hostels for 2 months, your own room and a double bed it complete and utter luxury!
It was quite funny to be flying into a country that you can see the entire country from start to finish when landing in the plane. It apparently takes only an hour and a half to drive from one end of Malta to the other. I think that this is why I loved this place so much, everyone knows everyone and everyone is sooooo friendly.
Marks family was amazing, you would have thought that I was each of his Aunts and Uncles daughter. I was taken out for dinner, driven around and fed, fed, and fed a bit more!! Each one of them did everything in their power to make sure that I did and had everything I needed.
So below are Photos from a town called Valetta, the thing I loved most about Malta were the narrow streets and lane ways, they are full of character.

We also went to Mdina, this place is full of history. They still have dungeons below the town that you can walk through.. Unfortunately they take their history a little to seriously, and decided to publicly execute me!!

Marks Uncle took as out in a boat and we drove around the Islands inc Gozo. The water is the bluest water I have ever seen, and its crystal clear. We went through Caves, and swam at the blue lagoon. Check out the colour of the water!!

We visited Popeyes film set

And Zurrieq which is near the blue Grotto.

We pretty much did the entire Country.. an what a beautiful place it is!!

Favorite things about Malta
1. You are woken up at 5am every morning by a car driving around with its horn going.. Its the bread man!! You jump up and run after the pannel van to get your fresh bread!!
2. The bread is amazing!!
3. The blue blue water
4. The friendly people
5. The Glass blowing work
6. Everything about this place!!!

Brighton - UK
So me and Davina went up to the beach in Brighton. Its an hour drive so we were very well behaved as we had to drive home.
The beach was actually really cool, There is rides, and games - Its like a Carnival at the beach that is set up permanately.
We had Fairy Floss

Had our Palms read

Kicked back on the beach chairs...

Oh, did I mention we also became hookers in a bar? I was running short on cash for my trip!!

Cairo & Giza
Cairo would have to be one of the most kaotic city’s I have ever seen. The driving in Thailand is nothing compared to this place. And the traffic is insane. There are people everywhere. The people seem to be allot more friendly here, and no where near as sleezy as some of the places in Jordan.
I went to the Market, this was like stepping into another world! Completely Kaotic! I also, of course went to the pyramids and sphinx. I had to pinch myself standing at the pyramids, so cool!! And they are allot bigger than I expected them to be.

Funny little bit of info.. If you look closely at the houses you will notice that they all have wires etc still hanging out the top. The egypt Government charge you a tax when you finish building your house, so what do the egyptions do?? They never finish their house and live in it all the same!!

And of course, the sphinx!

Mount Sinai
Today we went to Mount Sinai and I was determined to get to the top, it took just over 4 hours of climbing so called stairs (They were rocks, like you were rock climbing) to get to the top. After what I thought were a number of heart attacks!!! I finally made it in time for sunset. It was amazing! Unfortunately on my way up I slipped on a rock and broke the screen on my camera, so no photo’s from the top however here are some from part way up.
Oh, by the way.. For those good religious people, here is the burning bush! For Those who don’t know what that is, go get a bible and read!!

Nuweiba - Egypt
Today we left wadi rum to catch the ferry to Egypt. This is itself sounds easy, however our tour guide as I said earlier is crap. He dumped us at the ferry point with no guidance as to where to go, or any instructions. We couldn’t find anyone who spoke English and again the feral arab’s where out on the prowl. We ended up sitting at the dock for 4 hours till the ferry came in the boiling hot. I received 12 bluetooth messages from random Arabs saying things you just don’t even want to hear until I switched my phone off. The whole group was pretty much ready to leave the country with frustration. Once on the Ferry it was no better, you could not escape, Arabs following me everywhere I went!
We got of the ferry, and our new tour guide met us, Thank god he is great!

We drove to Nuweiba which is just the most amazing place, it has restored my faith in the middle east. The huts are just meters off the beach, and are made out of straw. The beach is beautiful white sand, and there are beach beds set up with cushions. Its like we just stepped into a 5 star resort, and there are no dodgy people!! Just what the doctor ordered! I spent the day lying on he beach, and snorkelling, the snorkelling was incredible.
Wadi Rum Desert
Today we headed out to the desert for a 4 hour jeep safari ride. This was awesome!
The desert was not at all what I expected. I was thinking lots of sand and flat, when in fact it was full of rock formations, and the colours were amazing in the rocks and sands. The safari ride was great fun, we slipped our driver (who was 14!) some cash to take us away from the group who were driving very slow, and have some fun. We were flying over sand dunes and in between rocks, sliding sideways.. great fun! I then convinced him to let me take it for a drive this was the best!

We climbed up to the top of the hill to watch the sun go down, Sleeping under the stars was incredible. I have never seen stars like in the desert, they were so bright they would almost light up the area. A great day!

That night we went to a beduion camp in the middle of the desert to have dinner and sleep under the stars. They cooked us roast chicken in the ground from he heat of the sand. It was the most amazing chicken I have ever had. The Arabs are still the same here, always hassling you, I even had one guy offer to buy me with 10 camels!

Petra
So I joined my tour group early this morning and we jumped on the bus to Petra. It’s a small group of only 12 people. Our tour guide is well.. CRAP!! But hey, I think I just got really lucky with my last tour.
We arrived in Petra, I rode a camel down to the start of the city, this was very cool! Petra is by far the most breath taking place I have been to. Its just amazing, the photo’s don’t do it justice.
I then decided that for some strange reason I was allot fitter than I actually am and joined a hiking group who were going off the paths made for tourists and were going to climb right the top of these cliffs and walk through caves etc! 5 hours later, and a number of what I think were heart attacks I finished!! I climbed over massive rocks, through caves and my hands and knees, and between boulders that I was sure I was going to get stuck in. The view from the top was worth it all, and the markings on the rocks where amazing!!
I am now back at my hotel, can hardly walk and am absolutely exhausted, but have a huge smile on my face :)

Jordan - Amman
Let me start by saying this place is one of the most obscure places I have been to! I landed in Jordan late at night and caught a Taxi to the hotel. I was exhausted by the time I got to the hotel, so I was looking forward to a good nights sleep.
So I get to the hotel, the guy has a fold out bed set up in the reception and is sound asleep! I wake him, so I can get a room, and of course he doesn’t speak English! I try to explain that I already have a booking however he just wasn’t getting this, so after what felt like a long game of charades I got into my room.
My room was right beside the men’s toilets, so I got the joy of listening to them go all night. I did not have any pillows and decided that going back to reception to ask for pillows was a battle I was not up for. And the mattress (I am being generous calling it that) was like a slab of concrete. I think I finally started to doze of around 3 am only to be woken at 4am by the mosque next door with some guy singing “Allah Allah Allah” on a microphone ( found out later that this is the calling of the prayer) And yes, every morning it goes off at 4 am.

I got up the next morning and decided that even though I was tired, I wanted to explore Amman. So I put my jeans on and a long sleeve top (in 30 degree heat) and went to explore. Within 5 minutes of walking out of the Hotel room I had some dirty Arab grabbing his bits and trying to wave them at me!!
I learnt very quickly that you are literally a piece of meat that the arab’s would like to “Conquer”. However if you put your sunnies on, and walk around only looking at the ground and did not make eye contact with anyone you were not hassled to much. The best way to describe this place is when your at the pub and it about 3am and there are heaps of drunk guys trying to get some action!
I got completely lossed at one point trying to get to down town Amman, I think an Army guy could see by the look of confusion on my face that I was lost. However when he walked over to me with a massive gun and started leading me down the street without speaking any English I was convinced I was being arrested! Turns out he was showing me the way.
The Arab’s in Jordan are either really nice (Cause they are trying to pick you up) or really filthy towards women. It was actually quite a good feeling when I got back to my hotel after 4 hours of wandering around Amman on my own to know that I didn’t run back to my room within 5 minutes or let the guys get to me!!
