Today we left wadi rum to catch the ferry to Egypt. This is itself sounds easy, however our tour guide as I said earlier is crap. He dumped us at the ferry point with no guidance as to where to go, or any instructions. We couldn’t find anyone who spoke English and again the feral arab’s where out on the prowl. We ended up sitting at the dock for 4 hours till the ferry came in the boiling hot. I received 12 bluetooth messages from random Arabs saying things you just don’t even want to hear until I switched my phone off. The whole group was pretty much ready to leave the country with frustration. Once on the Ferry it was no better, you could not escape, Arabs following me everywhere I went!
We got of the ferry, and our new tour guide met us, Thank god he is great!
We drove to Nuweiba which is just the most amazing place, it has restored my faith in the middle east. The huts are just meters off the beach, and are made out of straw. The beach is beautiful white sand, and there are beach beds set up with cushions. Its like we just stepped into a 5 star resort, and there are no dodgy people!! Just what the doctor ordered! I spent the day lying on he beach, and snorkelling, the snorkelling was incredible.
