So I joined my tour group early this morning and we jumped on the bus to Petra. It’s a small group of only 12 people. Our tour guide is well.. CRAP!! But hey, I think I just got really lucky with my last tour.
We arrived in Petra, I rode a camel down to the start of the city, this was very cool! Petra is by far the most breath taking place I have been to. Its just amazing, the photo’s don’t do it justice.
I then decided that for some strange reason I was allot fitter than I actually am and joined a hiking group who were going off the paths made for tourists and were going to climb right the top of these cliffs and walk through caves etc! 5 hours later, and a number of what I think were heart attacks I finished!! I climbed over massive rocks, through caves and my hands and knees, and between boulders that I was sure I was going to get stuck in. The view from the top was worth it all, and the markings on the rocks where amazing!!
I am now back at my hotel, can hardly walk and am absolutely exhausted, but have a huge smile on my face :)
